Article marketing when done correctly can be highly profitable. All online businesses need two elements to be successful. They are profits and customers. Effective article marketing can piece the two together. This explains why article marketing is such a powerful marketing technique.
The power of article marketing lies in building credibility and preselling to your readers who are also your potential customers. Attracting readers to your articles is as important as writing one in order for article marketing to work. We will look at some critical elements or ingredients that go into effective article writing and article promotion.
1. Content Research
Writing an article requires proper planning and research. Some authors simply rattle off their thoughts and create tons of incoherent content which only martians would understand. Readers cannot understand the article, let alone be pre-sold.
Effective article marketing means that you got to write a topic narrowed down to your target niche. Places like forums and blogs are places where you can observe the people. Read those posts and you probably would find out more about what these folks are searching for. Uncover the problems they face and compile them. Write your articles to address the problem and you would have faithful readers. Remember credibility is important. Your readers are happy that they found answers and they are now more ready to be pre-sold.
2. Article Title
Article title plays a pivotal role in article marketing. Your visitors are likely to come from the search engines or the article directories. The first contact they have with you is your article title. Even if your article enjoys search engine love and ranks high for your keyword, if your title stinks, no one would read it. It is thus important to create interesting articles that would pull readers like a magnet.
Article titles with words like âreviewâ, âguideâ, âtipsâ or âhot tipsâ and âhow toâ are excellent attention-grabbers. Add a little bit of creativity to create suspense and curiosity. Suggest the benefits they would have if they read your articles. For example, âArticle Marketing Hot Tips for Instant Profitsâ.
3. Article Content
Article marketingâs objective is to presell and build a relationship with your readers but you do not want to hurry the process. I have seen too many sales pitch style of writing. This is the surest way to drive traffic not to your website but away. Give your readers good and honest informational content that would help them and be consistent in the quality of your articles. Article marketing is a long-term strategy and would prove to be your most powerful traffic-building technique.
4. Article Promotion through Resource Box
Article marketing allows for direct promotion of products or services in the resource box. The resource box is where you introduce yourself as the author and your website. A lot of people do not know if they should promote their products in the article body or resource box. Most article directories restrict the number of links and most do not allow links in the article body. Since you are not doing your sales pitch in your article body, do so in the resource box which is permitted by almost all article directories. Do not post more than 2 links.
Remember one more tip, that is, to promote a relevant product.
5. Article Distribution
This is the final step of article marketing â article distribution which is also the most critical one. You need to gain maximum exposure for your articles by distributing to as many free article directories as possible. However, manual article submission can be a real pain. You can be spending the whole day starting from morning to sunset to submit to 100 over article directories. Alternatively, you can always invest in article submission tools that automate the whole dreadful task for you.

I often recommend using article marketing as a means of getting more targetted visitors to your coaching website. But how does it work? And what do you need to know to make the most of your article writing efforts?
The basic premise of article marketing is that there are many many publishers out there, both on and offline, who are actively looking for relevant, well-written articles for their publications. So if you provide them with relevant, well-written material for free, they can publish it and credit you as the author. It’s a great way to raise awareness in your target market, as only the publishers who are targetting the same market as you will be interested in your articles in the first place.
If you are writing articles regularly for a newsletter, submitting them online means that you can keep them working for you long after the newsletter has gone out.
** Online article submission
Article marketing online isn’t a quick fix and won’t instantly provide a flood of new visitors to your website. But over time, it can be an extremely effective tool. How long do the articles need to be? Between 500 and 700 words is the usual recommended word count.
There are thousands of article directories on the internet. These are sites where you can submit your articles for publication online and publishers can pick them up and use them. To submit your articles to all of these directory sites individually simply isn’t worth the effort. But there are some article submission services that will do the job for you. The one that I use is www.submityourarticle.com. I pay a monthly fee which allows me to submit each of my articles just once and for it then to be automatically distributed to thousands of directories and potential publishers around the world.
If you don’t want to pay a subscription to begin with, the very best free article directory that I have used is www.ezinearticles.com. My articles still get more click-throughs from this particular website than any other.
** The all-important resource box
One of the rules for online article publishers is that every article must appear intact with its attached resource box. The resource box is the paragraph that states who you are, what you offer and provides a link to your website. This is your chance to get interested readers of your articles to click through to your website and find out more. You get to write your own resource box, so make sure you use it to full effect!
Resource boxes are best kept concise. The more compelling and enticing you can make it for readers to click on your website link the better. Remember to tell them exactly what to do: ‘Click here to…’ And if you have an on-the-spot offer on your website, mention it in your resource box: ‘To claim your free xxx, click here’. It can be very tempting to go down the comfortable old route of describing what you do, but you’ll get way more click-throughs if you make a strong offer and accompany it with a clear call to action.

Do you know any good content rewriting software?

I need a lot of article rewritten in short timeframe and I can’t afford to hire any writers. I tried article spinner and jet spinner. I didn’t like it. Can anyone reccomend any other software, even if it is a content generator.

Whats the difference between a virus, spyware, adware, malware?

As far as i concerned a virus is a small program that invades your computer and has bad intentions, spyware spy’s for information, adware is software with advertising, and malware is malicious software.

You need to re-write on some certain points. You’re correct to say that malware is malicious software but you can add more by saying malware is a generic term that covers all such as adware/spyware, rogue, virus, trojan, worm, rootkit, backdoor and more.
Actually, there is a fine line between adware and spyware, because in many cases adware can report back info as well as advertise without the users’ consent and knowledge. You can also add, that banner ads are capable of more than just advertising, malicious users can use them to hide malware and in some cases, doesn’t even need users to click on them, it can close and open the website and then direct them to a website where a scan appears and then try to scare users into thinking their computers are infected and pushes rogue software on them.
You’re correct that a virus is a small program which can replicate and once executed can attach to other programs and can cause different levels of harm.
Anyway, there is a lot to write up about as I only cover a fraction of it.
